The silver I work with is predominantly fine silver (hallmarked 999 - 99.9% pure). This is a great material to work with as it is softer and purer than the conventional Sterling Silver (hallmarked 925 – 92.5% pure). Fine Silver looks fantastic to wear, is brighter than sterling silver and looks stunning. It is easy to clean with any silver polish products.

It is hard not to be inspired by the surroundings I live in and my silver pieces reflect my love of Tiree shells and wildlife. Each silver shell I create is moulded from an actual shell found on the beach, and I always make a note of where it was found. Other pieces are formed from a shape or a texture I admire, each creation has a special meaning to me.
